I booked a five-day Tibet tour for myself and my boyfriend. Pre-departure communication with my travel consultant Fiona was excellent- prompt replies and clear with every detail of the tour, payment, timings, etc. We had a three-day trip planned mid-week and Fiona was very accommodating, helpfully allowing us to arrange our five-day tour around it. Our tour guide was Tashi whose in-depth knowledge of Tibet's history and passion for his region created an informative and enriching 5-day experience. Tashi provided brilliant insight into the local life, culture and religion of a modern Tibet, as well as animating each sight with fabulous tales of the past… and obligingly answering any and every question we had! He was incredibly professional throughout (arriving on time on all five days) and is very kind and personable. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed ourselves! If your budget allows for it, do opt for the full five day tour- the beauty of Lake Yamdrok and Holy Potala Palace are really well-worth it! The walk through Barkhor Street, seeing all the old mansions with Tibet culture was fascinating. In sum, I couldn't recommend Elysian Tour more highly and will certainly be booking future tours with them the next time I make a trip to China.
