My husband and I decided, last minute, to take 2 more weeks to see China after a business trip. We only had a month before we were to leave and we found Elysian Tour.

Our trip included Beijing, Xi'an, Chengdu, Guilin, Hangchou, Huangshan and Shanghai. We told our travel consultant where we wanted to go, places we wanted to stay and activities we wanted to do. Leah really listened to us. I could tell she was very detailed-oriented and tried her best to get good understanding of who we are, what we would enjoy, and what we wanted out of this trip. We ended up with an amazing trip that would have taken me months to plan and research that took only no more than a week with the help of Leah.

She was extremely responsive to our questions and then provided an itinerary with hotels, dates, and sites to visit interspersed with other activities we would't have known of. She worked with us to add and eliminate things until we had the trip and price we wanted. It was so much better than a package trip, as we could see exactly where we wanted to go and visit only the places we cared about. We came away with a much deeper, richer experience than expected. We enjoyed having tea in the little Hutong courtyard with the friendly senior couple. An off-the-beaten track cave dwelling was arranged for us in the small village close to the Terracotta Army Museum. There we met the old lady who was still preserving the traditional craftsmanship of making lovely tiger head shoes handed down from the older generations. The Panda Keeper experience in Chengdu was an amazing chance for an up-close interaction with the adorable panda bears. And in Guilin, we were totally blown away by the breathtaking scenery. The ancient villages in Huangshan and Yellow Mountain are the must-sees with just 2-hour high speed train ride from Shanghai. We were happy that we did it following Leah's suggestion.

We had different tour guides and drivers in these cities and they were all superb, always on time, spoke excellent English, familiar with their areas, knowledgeable and informative. And we had the chance to meet different people from many regions of the country and learned about their own stories and life, which was quite nice to understand real life of people.

Every detail was well thought out and flawless. We can't recommend this company highly enough and can't wait to use them again in the future!
