First, I would like to thank our incredible guides, Toby, Eric and Lucinda. Each of them is knowledgeable and excellent in English. They were all flexible to adapt the itinerary to meet our personal preferences and needs. My husband had a vulnerable stomach during the trip and Eric helped us find some restaurants that offered friendly foods. He went extra mile to accompany us to the hospital and helped translate for us, then took us back to our hotel to guarantee we wouldn't get lost.

We booked a week-long Silk Road tour from Xian to Lanzhou, Zhangye, Jiayuguan and Dunhuang. Though the bulk of the trip was on a car transfer, this journey was a good opportunity to discover the amazing Terracotta Army, see the oddly mountain landscape, and experience a small slice of nomads' life and culture in a sand desert. We took a lot of pictures of the wonderful rainbow mountains in Zhangye, and enjoyed very much the epic experience of the camel ride along the dunes in Dunhuang, which made me feel like being a part of the old caravans.

We are thinking of another Silk Road adventure next year, considering a visit Turpan, Urumqi and Kashgar. And Elysian Tour is definitely our choice.
