Abounding with primeval forests, rare natural wonders and various wildlife, Zhangjiajie is deemed as a fairyland on earth. In this 3-day tour, you will delve into the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park to marvel at the exquisite scenery including fantastic Hallelujah Mountain and walk through the 1-mile-high Glass Skywalk, and admire the "holy cave" in Tianmen Mountains.
Welcome to Zhangjiajie! On arrival, you are received by your guide holding a name plate at the exit, and then transferred to your hotel in the Wulingyuan scenic area. Please have a good rest to get ready for your exciting exploration tomorrow.
In the morning, get to the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and take a shuttle bus to the Yuanjiajie scenic area. With the Bailong Elevator soaring into the air, immerse yourself in the great excitement and the fleeting superb scenery, one of which is called "Heaven Warriors' Gathering". Then hike from the top to continue to savor the wonderful scenery, such as the 350m(1148ft) high natural stone bridge—the No. 1 Bridge in the World, and the Hallelujah Mountain, prototype of the suspending mountains in film Avatar. Food on the mountain is limited so you could choose to have McDonald for lunch for a nicer environment or get some snacks from the small stalls.
Ride to the Tianzi Mountain by the shuttle bus and savor the countless sharpened sandstone peaks towering aloft in the boundless mist and cloud. Discover the well-known spots, such as the Imperial Brush Peak, Fairy Scattering Flowers, etc. and take some great shots on the viewing platforms along the way. Then take a cable car descend the mountain.
Then head to Ten-mile Gallery, so named because the natural splendors on both sides of the cliffs form a landscape painting scroll. Take the round-trip small train along the valley and give rein to your imagination while appreciating the peaks and rocks, which look like a tail-spreading peacock, a herb-picking geezer, a growling tiger, etc. Afterwards, return to your hotel and have a good night.
Start your awe-inspiring discovery of Tianmen Mountain by riding a cable car along an extremely long cableway. Marvel at the ever-changing views along the way until you reach the primitive "sky garden" on the mountaintop. Ramble to the famous Glass Skywalk, a narrow glass gazebo hanging along the cliff. Get ready to challenge it. You may go weak at the knees, but you won't want to miss the dizzying thrill and the great beauty beneath the glass.
Then take the astounding escalator built through the mountains down to the world's highest karst cave, Tianmen Cave, which is not only adored by tourists, but also a good resort for wingsuit flying, stunt flying and parkour championships. Pay tribute to this miraculous "celestial door" that is often misty or drizzly and walk down the 999 steps or take the escalator to descend. Then take your shuttle bus and marvel at the graceful 99 curves around the hillside.
Your marvelous journey ends, and you are escorted to the station for your departure.
