In the morning, you will have a two-hour land transfer to wonder at the Stone Forest that was naturally formed billions of years ago. The Stone Forest is clustered with grotesque limestone peaks abruptly rising from the ground, along with emerald lakes, deep bizarre caves and cascading waterfalls waiting for your discovery. Immersing in this otherworldly park, you will be dazzled with both the unparalleled beauty of karst wonders and the unique folk custom of Yi minority.

At the end of the sightseeing, sit back for a private vehicle land transfer to Jianshui, with duration of about 4 hours on the road. Upon arrival, your guide will help you to check into your hotel for tonight's stay.

With a far-reaching history over 1,200 years, Jianshui is a famous ancient town housing a number of historic structures and diverse ethnic cultures.

You will take a half day to sight-see the major spots in Jianshui Ancient Town, including the Zhang's Garden and Double Dragon Bridge. Occupying an area of 2.5 acres, Zhang's Garden is a well-preserved private courtyard residence in traditional Chinese garden architecture style that is originated from late Qing Dynasty. The exquisite wood carvings on the doorway and eaves are big highlights worthy of your deepgoing discovery. Then stroll to the Double Dragon Bridge, an elegant seventeen-arch bridge paved with polished bricks. From a distance, you could capture amazing pictures of the bridge and its reflection merging together. 

Afterwards, you will head to Yuanyang County by a land transfer of 3 hours. Upon arrival, rush to the Yuanyang Rice Terraces to catch the spectacular sunset scene at Laohuzui Spot, and marvel at the 1,300-year-old agricultural miracle of Hani ethnic minority. After night falls, check into a local boutique hotel for an overnight stay.

Today, you need to get up early to chase after the sunrise over the massive Duoyishu paddy fields filled with water if weather permits. When the first rays of the morning sun cast down, every layer and strip of the mist-shrouded terrace fields glitters with gentle ripples, which are just like the pieces of a broken mirror. Stroll along the village path to unveil more wonderful sights of the paddy fields.

Then pay a visit to a Hani folk village nestled in the mountain slope that embraces the overwhelming scenic beauty of terraces, where you could not only uncover Hani people's rustic mushroom houses, but also meet friendly locals dressed in their ethnic clothes.

Afterwards, drop by an alive local market to delve into the life of the ethnic minorities. Hani and Yi people in bright-blue dressing carry their bamboo-weaving back baskets and gather in the bazaar to sell, exchange or buy life commodities, such as fruit, cloth, fresh meat, knitting works, etc.

After breakfast, you are going to depart from Yuanyang and sit back for a ride to Kunming. The land journey takes about 7 hours, while you could enjoy amazing rural scenery along the way. The driver will make a stopover at a bustling fruit market for a short break during the journey, which is a good chance to discover the local life and customs.

Continue the bus trip and disembark for an excursion to the Xingmeng Village, the only and last settlement of Mongolians in Yunnan. Venture into the village to uncover the blending-styled culture and life from their unique residence and costumes as well as foods.

Upon arrival Kunming, get lodged in your hotel for a good rest.
