Welcome to Kunming! Upon landing at Kunming Airport, your private driver and guide will meet you at the arrival lobby, and then escort you to your hotel for a good rest. Alternatively, you could make some free exploration in the neighborhoods.

In the morning, you will be chauffeured to the Stone Forest, a must-see attraction of Kunming. After 1.5 hours' ride, you will reach the spot and a battery car will take you to admire the wonder land. Stone Forest is endowed with peculiar karst limestone formations that were formed about 270 million years ago. Sword-shaped stone peaks rise abruptly from the grounds, showcasing labyrinthine vistas and rugged charm of nature. You will discover the grotesque peaks in various shapes, such as pillars, mushrooms, pagodas and bamboo shoots. Stroll along the viewing decks to marvel at the natural stone masterpieces where you will always be able to shoot some amazing photos.

After that, you will be driven back to the Kunming downtown to visit the Green Lake Park, a popular urban park for relaxation. Stroll along the tree-lined causeways to inhale the fragrance of the flora, sit by the lakefront to feed the migrant black-headed gulls, or enjoy the lively scene of local life.

After that, return to your hotel for a nice rest.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Dongchuan by your private vehicle to get lost in the splendid red land, which is about three hours' drive from Kunming. It is an unparalleled natural landscape featuring its red land formed by the oxidization of the iron and aluminum in the soil in warm and humid climate. Reputed as the God's Palette, Dongchuan Red Land has been a hot photography destination for shutterbugs. 

With your insider guide, you would head for Luoxiagou, a superb spot to catch the bewitching sunset glow over the red land. Possibly you may see wisps of cooking smoke rising slowly from the idyllic villages and local famers working in the terraced fields. At the end, you will get lodged in a boutique hotel for an overnight stay.

Get up in the early morning and take a ride to the Damakan Village to shoot fabulous sunrise scene if weather permits, where you will capture the brilliant view of the mountain terrains in dazzling layers of red, gold, green and brown gently bathed in the morning rays.

Close to Damakan, you could also move to Qicaipo, a seven-color slope. Standing by the viewing spot, you could seize the changing hues over the bright-colored field strips, with the azure sky as the backdrop. If weather permits, you would even be lucky to get bathed in a sea of cloud.

Afterwards, follow your guide to explore more photography spots of red land like Guoditang and Dalongshu to discover spectacular views. Finally, you would be escorted back to Kunming and check in a hotel for tonight's stay.

Note: If you travel in Dongchuan in a rainy day, do not get frustrated as the views are more shocking after the rainfall. It is a lifetime chance yearned by photography zealots.
