Upon your arrival, your local guide and driver will pick you up and then transfer you to a fancy hotel. If reaching Dali early in the day, you could explore the historic sites such as temples, churches, traditional courtyards in Dali Old Town on your own. You are advised to take a walk on the Foreigners' Street to discover some interesting local crafts and grab something for your meals. 

Tips: You can have an easy access to Dali by air since there are a lot of directly flights from other cities in China, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Xian and Chengdu. Moreover, you could take a bullet train from Kunming to Dali in about 2 hours.

In the morning, choose one of the best ways to discover the beauty of Erhai Lake by a leisurely cruising trip. Breathtaking views are offered all year round, and you get a fair chance to meet some red-billed seagulls whirling over the water and local fishermen making their living with cormorants. Then go ashore to the Jinsuo Island to explore the ethnic temples and folk houses to learn more about the culture and lifestyles of originally residents of Bai minority. 

As the tour ends, you'll be transported back to Dali Old Town, and then ascend the South Gate Tower that is the oldest buildings in the town with a history of 600 years.

Afterwards, you will set out for Chongsheng Temple to see the most iconic sight of Dali, Three Pagodas. Gracefully towering up between Cangshan Mountains and Erhai Lake, the pagodas cluster is something spectacular that you wouldn't want to miss out.

After breakfast, embark on a tour deep into Bai minority’s local culture by a land transfer to Xizhou. Exactly, you get a chance to revel in the vibe of the lively morning market, where locals seek a livelihood by setting up vendors for vegetables, craftworks, hand-made cloth, and reeky snack stalls. Even your eyesight would be caught by these local women dressed with traditional ethnic costumes and bright-colored head clothes, with bamboo basket on their backs.

Then your guide will take you to delve into a traditional courtyard of Bai-styled folk residence, Yan’s Compound, where you could have a glimpse of the brilliant architectural art of Bai people by a close savoring of the exquisite wood carvings and sculptures on the roof, corridors and gates.

Then drop by a local family of Bai minority to dig into their unsophisticated and traditional way of life.

Later, you will be escorted to the airport or railway station for your departure flight or train. Wish you a nice journey home.
