With an area stretching over 350 square kilometers, the Stone Forest would delight you with its unique Karst scenes scattering in the Small Stone Forest featuring screen-like stone walls, the Big Stone Forest with its typical karst pinnacles as well as other various shapes of limestone.

Embark on a boat cruise to indulge in the stunning view of the romantic ear-shaped Erhai Lake which extends as far as the eye can see under the shelters of the majestic Cang Mountains in the distance. Take a shore excursion to Jinsuo Island to explore Bai people's traditional culture over thousands of years. Then try some local dishes for lunch and your local guide will offer some good recommendations up to your preferences.
Afterwards, move to the famous Three Pagodas to admire a great amount of Buddha statues, relics and sutras left in the prosperous Nanzhao period (738AD – 902AD). Continue to explore Dali Ancient Town to get immersed in its ethnic minority folk customs.
Stroll down the earliest bustling Foreigner Street filled with ancient houses, boutique stalls, exotic pop bars expecting another wonderful night. Then ascend to the top of the ancient city wall to have a bird’s view of the ancient town's panorama.
Night life: The ancient city is very lively at night and you could go for a walk and see the atmospheric streets with old style constructions in neon lights or have a drink at the famous bar Bad Monkey.

Today, experience the local's traditional way of life as you head to the famous local bazaar-Xizhou market to see the local minorities in their traditional costumes chatting, bargaining and trading for agricultural products followed by a visit to the local Bai people's residence with the archaic houses of Ming and Qing dynasties to appreciate the essence of Bai people's architectural style and traditional life.
Then sit back and travel to another fantastic ancient town Lijiang after about 3-hour drive. The rest of day will be up to your preferences.
Approach to the breathtaking Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the Holy Mountain treasured by the local Naxi people. Consisting of 13 stretching ridges with snow-capped peaks, it looks like a dragon vigorously meandering across the majestic mountains seen from the distance. Enjoy the lively show Impression of Lijiang performed by local Naxi people with the background of spectacular Snow Mountain to get deep insights of Naxi culture. Then ascend to the main Shanzi Peak with an altitude of 5,596 meters by the cable car and enjoy the stunning view of vast meadows with verdant tall spruces aloft high up into the sky.
Then marvel at the ancient art of Naxi People with a history of over 500 years as you head to Baisha Murals varied in subjects from natural scenes to religious figures. Follow your guide to check out some hieroglyphics of Naxi People and appreciate their ancient way of expressions.
Conclude your wonderful day with a peaceful promenade in Shuhe Ancient Town, the well-preserved station on the Ancient Tea Horse Road witnessing the cultural exchanges and commercial trades in Southwest China since it was built in Tang dynasty, to appreciate the essence of Naxi People and experience its antiquity with peaceful clear stream running through.

Today you will travel to Shangri-la which will take around 4.5 hours. Stop for a visit to the astonishing Tiger Leaping Gorge, known as one of the deepest canyons with a vertical height stretching over 3,900 meters. Owning the most spectacular views, the roaring torrents rushing down onto the rocks thunderously will greatly astound you as you stand on the viewing platform built along the sheer cliffs.
Then continue your drive to Shangri-la. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day exploring the serene town on your own.
Get ready to indulge in the stunning natural beauty of the mysterious Shangrila. This morning, set out for the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery Songzanlin Lamasery, built in the grand style of Potala Palace in Tibet.
