Drive about 1 hour to wonder at Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum whose accidental discovery really stunned the world in 1974. Tracing back to 2,000 years ago, more than 8,000 life-sized clay soldiers and horses (only 2,000 excavated) were made to protect First Emperor Qin (259-210BC), the first emperor of ancient China. Walk closer and marvel at the supreme craftsmanship since each warrior stands erect with distinctive facial expressions, hairstyles, figures and uniforms.

Continue to admire the best-preserved City Wall with over 600 years history. Step on the ancient ground to feel the vicissitudes of years. The aged bricks, exquisite watchtowers and a running moat take you to be impressed by the profound historical vibe. Or if you like, you may hop on a bike to overlook the ancient capital in a more relaxing way.

Then explore the bustling Muslim Quarter located in the heart of Xi'an. Stop for a glimpse of the oldest Great Mosque, an Islamic architecture built in traditional Chinese style followed by a promenade along the bazaar to taste local snacks such as Chinese hamburger, Kabob, Biangbiang noodles, Pita Bread Soaked in Lamb Soup, etc.

Continue your cultural trip to the grand Shaanxi History Museum, with over 370,000 incomparable treasures such as bronzes of Western Zhou, gold and silver ornaments of Han and Tang Dynasty, murals of Tang Tomb, etc. to explore China's glorious past dating from 1.15 million years ago to 1840AD.

Then discover the intact Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the 7-storey pagoda built to treasure Buddhist relics, statues and Sanskrit classics brought back from ancient India by Buddhist monk Xuanzang in Tang Dynasty (618-907AD). With an impressive height of 64 meters, it affords the stunning panoramic view of old X'an.

Your Xi'an discovery concludes here and then travel to Chengdu by a high speed train. Upon arrival, you will be picked up by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel.

This morning, move to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to enjoy nice encounters with China's national treasure. Spend your time seeing cuddly pandas who nibble bamboo shoots, climb trees or take some naps on the bamboo-covered wonderland. Then snap up-close pictures of the most lovable panda cubs having fun in the kindergarten and the naughty red ones playing on the treetops. If lucky enough, seize the rare chance to see little pink newborns kept in incubators during breeding season (Aug-Oct).

Next, delight in the bustling Jinli Street, a paradise for worldwide foodie. Stop along the way to sample local snacks, appreciate wooden architecture or handpick some gifts for your friends.

Then relax in the tranquil Wangjiang Park to appreciate the laid-back Chengdu where you may have a cup of tea in an outdoor teahouse, enjoy an ear-cleaning service or join the physical exercises with the friendly locals.

Today comes the exciting Sichuan Cuisine Museum, the only eatable museum that offers a terrific cooking class together with over 6,000 pieces of antiques through the ages. Savor the unique Sichuan Cuisine culture by stepping into the exhibition hall, dotted with books, artifacts and simulations of dishes. The lingering aroma takes you deep into today's highlight. Follow the professional master to clean and slice raw materials, and then experience as a skillful chef to stir-fry and mix ingredients. Then sit down and satisfy with every bite of your own yummy dishes.

After a hearty lunch, it is time to say goodbye to Chengdu and you will be transferred to the airport/railway station. Wish you a pleasant journey home!
