Day 1
Xian-Yan'an by High Speed Train, Yan'an-Jingbian by Private Vehicle
Hotel pick-up. Take a high-speed train to Yanan, and Venture into the untouched Wave Valley.
Your private guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in downtown Xian, and then chauffeur you to the north railway station for an onward high-speed train to Yanan in about 2.5 hours. After arrival, you will be picked up and escorted to Jingbian.
Next, you will be taken right to the Wave Valley. The amazing Danxia landscape is a geological wonder formed since one hundred and fifty million years ago in the Jurassic Period. You will be startled by the wave-like texture lines on the bedding surface of the red sandstones. At this stage, travelers still enjoy the chance to walk on the rock formations to take pictures that latecomers may not access in future years. You will admire Scenic A, B, C and Danxia Landscape over the water.
Afterwards, you will be transferred to Jingbian and get lodged in the best local hotel. Enjoy your free night walking around the local neighborhood.
Day 2
Jingbian-Ganquan-Yanan by Private Vehicle
Transfer to Ganquan County to hike through the Yucha Canyon. Afterwards, check into a hotel in downtown Yanan.
After breakfast, you will start the day with a 3-hour land transfer to Yucha Canyon, a natural Danxia wonder on the Loess Plateau. Famed as the Antelope Canyon of China, Yucha Canyon boasts marvelous sandstone textures and shapes sculpted by millions of years’ flood wash. So far, there are five attractions in the Ganquan Yucha Canyon that are known and open, while you are suggested to visit two essence spots including the 800-meter-long Huashugou and 2.5km-long Longba gorge.
You need to slide through the narrow bottom of the gorges, which is the best way to capture the otherworldly sandstone scenery above on both sides. Looking up, you would be amazed at the swirling vortex and waves shadowed by the dreamlike natural lights. There are many crazily narrow trails that only allow one person to get through at a time, so watch your head. After the trekking, you will be escorted to a hotel in Yanan for an overnight stay.

Day 3
Yan'an-Xi'an by High Speed Train
Board a high-speed train back to Xian. Railway station-hotel transfer.
This morning, you will be transferred to Yanan for a bullet train to Xian. Your Xian guide and driver will be waiting for you at the railway station for an escort ride to your hotel.
