The poem left by great poet Su Shi of Song Dynasty (960-1279) is exactly what makes West Lake an enchanting spot to wander, where West Lake is compared to Xi Zi, one of ancient Chinese top four beauties. Surrounded by mountains on three sides, West Lake affords the year-round breathtaking views varied in different seasons with shadowy hills, willow-lined walkways, blooming lotus flowers, ancient pagodas and curved bridges as you enjoy a boat ride on the tranquil lake.  

Followed by a visit to the 1,700-year-old Lingyin Temple nearby the West Lake. Housing more than 300 well-preserved Buddha status, pagodas, and religious carvings, Feilai Peak adjacent to Lingyin Temple stands as the treasure of Buddhist art, which is greatly cherished by the sculpture lovers and art appreciators. Move forward and you will be indulged in the world of Buddhism as the largest wooden Buddhist statue of Shakyamuni in China and the Hall of 500 Arhats in the shape of the Buddhist swastika come into your sights.

Tea to Chinese just like coffee is to westerners. It is a good chance for you to see Chinese tea culture as you head to the Meijiawu Tea Plantation, home to the world of the finest Dragon Well tea. Upon arrival, follow the national tea specialist to see how tea is identified and picked, and then experience as a tea expert to stir-fry and brew tea. At last sit down and sip a cup of green tea in traditional Chinese way while appreciating the idyllic sceneries surrounding you.

After the morning pick-up, head straight to the Workmanship Demonstration Pavilion where you will be dazzled by a great variety of traditional handicrafts like folding fans, kites, oil-papered umbrellas, etc. What's more excited, you are able to see craftsmen's live demonstration in person to be amazed by their superb techniques and bring home with a traditional handicraft made by yourself to memorize your Hangzhou tour (optional).

The total length of 1,794 km from Beijing to Hangzhou, ranking the Grand Canal the longest man-made canal in the world after successive restorations during Sui and Yuan dynasties, has enlivened the cultural communication between north and south in the course of more than 2,000 years. Trace back to the prosperous bygone days and appreciate the folk flavors as you take a leisure boat cruise on the Canal.  

Afterwards, head to your last destination of Hangzhou tour-Dadou Road Historical Block where archaic buildings of late Qing dynasties blend so well with modern atmosphere in the quiet and traditional lanes. During your leisure strolls, not only will you feel the old scene of Hangzhou street life, but also experience the signs of the locals' life.
