Today, you will have a land transfer to Kaili City, the home to Miao minority. On the mid-way, you would have a stopover to step into the secluded Shiqiao Miao Village that is famous for traditional paper making. Local Miao villagers inherited the old paper-making skills from Tang Dynasty (618 - 907), and now still earn a living on that. You are given a precious chance to witness the whole making process in person. Meanwhile, Shiqiao Miao Village also retains well preserved stilt houses and Wind-Rain Bridge surrounded by idyllic fields that are worthy of visiting. 

Then head for Qingman Miao Village, where inhabit a lot of folk artists. Women there are good at making beautiful traditional costumes of Miao style. Dropping by a local family, you would witness the whole making process from weaving and dyeing to sewing. You would be deeply impressed by their exquisite embroidery works and the pretty patterns, along with their blinking silver headgears. Then you would be chauffeured to your hotel in Kaili to check in for a good rest.

Continue your Miao culture exploration to the hospitable Langde Miao Village, where locals love to wear long dresses. For first time travelers to Guizhou, you would feel overwhelmed by their ritual ceremonies. Villagers dressed in their attires are lined at the village entrance to give you a welcome by toasting the rice-wine and singing their folk songs for you. Ritual activities will be seen during their traditional ceremony.

Then you will drop by the Paika Miao Village, a famous production base of Lusheng. Lusheng is a folk musical instrument made of reed pipe particularly by Miao and Dong people. Visit a local craftsman's house to see how Lusheng is made and appreciate the beautiful melody of it. 

After that, you would take a delightful hiking for about half an hour from Paika to Shuidian Village, during which you could soak yourself in the picturesque rural scenery of the villages and terrace fields. Upon your arrival at Shuidian, pace around the village to capture authentic insights into the traditional daily life of local Miao people. After that, sit back for a ride to Datang Miao Village, which is also known as short skirt Miao. On festivals, girls dress their hand-made miniskirts and silver headwear as well as necklaces to dance in lines and circles.

Another must-see of Datang Miao Village is the maze-like stilt barns built above the water to protect their grains from rats, fire and damp, where you could witness the brilliance of Miao pheasants. At last, you would be transferred back to downtown Kaili for an overnight stay. 

Today, you could escape from urban bustle and throw yourself to the tranquil and picturesque Qingyan Ancient Town. With a long history, the town was built in 1378 of Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644 AD), covering an area of 3 square kilometers in total. Qingyan Ancient Town stands out for its well-planned architectural style, rich cultural relics, and diverse religions. Walking inside town, you would be marveled at the ancient architecture delicately designed by intelligent architects in Ming and Qing Dynasties, and discover the interesting coexistence of traditional Chinese and western religions, including Catholic, Christian, Taoist and Buddhist. You could also climb up to the top of the city wall to overlook the entire Qingyan Old Town. 

After the tour, you would be escorted to Guiyang Airport for your departure flight. Wish you a nice journey home.
