Welcome to Guilin! Upon arrival at the airport or railway station, you will be received by your guide holding a name sign at the exit. After you are taken to your hotel, please have a good rest to start your exploration tomorrow.

When you hike up and down the slopes of Longji Terraced Fields (Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces), you will be stunned by the abstract agricultural artworks that owe to both nature and manpower. Cultivated as early as over 2,300 years ago, the rice paddy fields stand tall as hills, and stretch as far as you can see. And their scenery varies with seasons. Make out 'Seven Stars Surrounding the Moon Rice Terrace', and continue to hike to 'Nine Dragons and Five Tigers' if you would like to absorb more fascinating scenery. During the trip, you may encounter traditionally dressed local minorities and their featured houses. Afterwards, you are escorted to your hotel in Guilin.

Start the gorgeous cruise along the Li River, a beautiful jade green ribbon that wriggle among countless karst hills. They rise sheer from the water, showing various shapes, such as horses standing stiff-backed, or graceful ladies in a bathing pool, etc. Their images are reflected in the water, forming an immensely long Chinese painting scroll. Indulge yourself in this picturesque beauty and try to imagine the pinnacles as different figures, animals, etc. You may also come across a herd of buffalo frolic enjoying their leisure time, or fishermen toiling with their cormorants. The journey lasts about 4 hours until you get to Yangshuo.

Then disembark and bike around the rural villages of Yangshuo. With the air always mild and humid, and the soft breeze caressing your cheeks, your expedition starts. Along the way, you will see misty hill clusters, traditional dwellings hidden among trees, vast green fields, etc. After the journey, you will be accompanied to reach your hotel in Yangshuo.

Night activity: You could choose to watch the passionate 'Impression of Liu Sanjie', a massive live-action performance with hills and the sky as its background, and Li River as its stage.

Follow your guide to Reed Flute Cave, the palace of natural arts. Once you enter the cave, you will be immediately dazzled by the geological wonder: a myriad of monstrous stalagmites, stalactites and other stones alike rise or fall here and there, shining different colors. They form greatly different shapes: cypresses, dragons, pagodas, glazed palace lanterns, etc. Draw on your imagination to observe them when you probe into this fairyland. On some parts of the walls there are travel notes written by ancient visitors as early as 1,000 years ago, waiting for you to discover.

After the exploration, you will go to Elephant Trunk Hill, noted as the symbol of Guilin landscape. As you approach the hill, you can see that it looks like a huge, vivid elephant wearing a green shawl on its back; and its long nose is dipped into the limpid water. You can also find a big hole between the nose and the body, just like a moon floating on the river. Enjoy your free time appreciating this nature's masterpiece.

Your splendid trip comes to a close, and you will be escorted to the airport or railway station for your departure.
