After walking across Tiananmen Square, start to get enchanted by your historic explorations in the magnificent Forbidden City, the biggest and best-preserved imperial palace complexes in the world with over 70 palaces and 9999½ rooms inside. The moment you pass through The Meridian Gate, you will be dazzled by the complexes decorated with golden roofs and crimson walls with imposing atmosphere. Not only get deep insight of the prosperity of those bygone days, during the exploration, you are expected to be fascinated by the appealing anecdotes shared by your knowledgeable guide.

After pick-up at the hotel, head straight to the less crowded and well preserved Mutianyu Great Wall, an amazing defensive work with a history of over 2000. Snaking across the extending precipitous mountains, it loses itself in the shadowy distance. With dense clusters of watchtowers, it takes the responsibility for guarding the country and it did perfectly accomplish its mission. After the exciting hike, pay a visit to Ding Tomb, a well-preserved imperial mausoleum where the 17th emperor of the Ming dynasty was buried with his two empresses. Housing more than 3000 precious artefacts, underground palace inside is really a big draw to the history buff.

Then your exploration in today ends with a stopover to the Bird's nest and Water Cube on the way back to bustling downtown. Good chance for you to get a close-up look to the splendid stadiums in 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. You may appreciate the good views and take some great pictures outside.
