Welcome to China! Upon your arrival, your friendly tour guide holding your name sign will greet you at the arrival hall, then transfer you to the hotel and have a rest to recover from jet lag.
After a night's sound sleep, get refreshed for today's exploration. First, visit Tiananmen Square and then move to Forbidden City, the largest collection of wooden constructions preserved today. Housing over a million incomparable treasures, it is also known as Palace Museum. As imperial palace for both Ming and Qing Dynasty, Forbidden City witnessed the rises and falls of the two dynasties from the year 1420 to 1912. Walking through different halls and exquisite architectures of the Palace, travel back into the history of ancient China with your professional guide.
Then get into traditional Hutongs where common people used to live. Take a rickshaw ride into the small alleys to explore ordinary people's houses and local life. Learn to paint a facial mask in the famous Peking Opera and learn the traditional art of Beijing. Bring this memorable souvenir home with you when you finish.
The last and exciting part of today is to enjoy the legendary Kungfu Show.
The Forbidden City
Ride a rickshaw to discover the Hutong alleysHiking on the Great Wall is a must-do of your Beijing adventures. This magnificent defensive system was built to stop the nomadic groups' invasion and protect central Chinese states and empires. For a better exploration, the less crowded Mutianyu section is included in your itinerary, with round-trip cable car for easy access to ascending the wall and more leisure time for trekking.
Afterwards, drive back to the city and have a stopover to the iconic Bird's Nest and Water Cube to take some great photos.
Then, drive to the imperial garden Summer Palace. Stroll along the peaceful lake, taking in the picturesque scenery of gardens, halls, pavilions and get amazed by the scale of the Imperial Garden.
Note: A toboggan to ascend down the Great Wall is available at Mutianyu section and enjoys great popularity among teenagers. Please let your travel consultant know you would like to try this experience.
Mutianyu Great Wall with Lush Plantation
A Richly Painted Cruise Boat on Kunming LakeVisit Temple of Heaven in the morning. Soak up the beautiful architectures where emperors used to hold ceremonies praying for good harvest and peace for the whole nation. Encounter the locals gathering here for morning exercise and you are more than welcome to join these friendly local people to exercise together.
Afterwards, you will be taken to the railway station to take a 4.5-hour high-speed train to travel to another ancient capital of China Xian. Upon arrival, meet your friendly Xian guide and get back to hotel.

About 1-hour drive from the downtown area, you will get to Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum. 'Incredible' is the most frequently used word to describe the underground army after people see them, which will be proved while you get there. These clay figures were vividly made, each owning distinctive facial expression, hair style, figure as well as uniform, to protect the emperor in his afterlife. Both Great Wall and Terra-cotta Army were built by the order of the same emperor-Emperor Qin Shihuang (First Emperor), who actually created history of Chinese feudal society.
Afterwards, enjoy the opportunity to make a mini terra-cotta figure and you will further understand the impressive work done by ancient Chinese 2,000 years ago.
Then drive back to the city to visit the largest and best-preserved City Wall and have an overview of the old capital. Follow your guide to take a stroll on top and find some best angles to shoot nice photos of the great architecture or cycle around if you would like to.
Afterwards, drive to the bustling Muslim Quarter and the ancient Great Mosque built in traditional Chinese style and enjoy some free time in the famous bazaar.

Biking Tourists on the City WallAfter breakfast, approach to the famous Big Wild Goose Pagoda which was built for the great monk Xuanzang in Chinese history to store Buddha scriptures he took back from India. Learn about his story of travelling alone on foot for his strong will of learning and spreading Buddhism. The famous fictional novel based on his story Journey to West always told by your local guide always impress the little ones.
Then learn to make dumplings at a local family's home. The hospitable host will teach you how to make various shapes of dumplings and enjoy them for lunch after you finish.
Your Xian tour ends here and you will take the high-speed train to Chengdu. Upon arrival, your Chengdu tour guide will meet you and transfer you to hotel.

The Big Wild Goose PagodaDrive to Dujiangyan Panda Base and get ready to work as a panda keeper. You will help clean their enclosures, feed the pandas, make panda cakes and watch a documentary movie of pandas. You will follow the guidance of expert panda keeper to start your work. After you finish your busy and exciting day working as a panda keeper, you will be awarded with a certificate.
Tips: For safety of panda keepers, pandas will be kept inside their rooms while panda keepers clean the enclosures.
Dujiangyan Panda Base offers the chance to hold a panda for photos which needs extra cost. Please indicate if you would like to hold a panda and our travel consultant will book in advance for you as there is limitation of participants numbers.

Pay a visit to Jinli Old Street, a well-known shopping street early in 200BC. Stroll through the street and discover essence of Chengdu's leisure life from the bars, tea houses and snacks. You may also find some interesting souvenirs in the small boutique stalls.
Then you will fly to Shanghai and your Shanghai tour guide will greet you at airport, then escort you to your hotel.
Start today's tour with a visit to Yu Garden and enjoy the beautiful layout which also presents the philosophy of Chinese people's life.
Then head to Nanjing Road and the Bund which is granted World Architecture Museum.
Get on top of Shanghai World Financial Center to get a bird view of Shanghai, which may change your impression of China.
