We just finished our 8 days China golden ring tour, and I have to say it was an awesome travel experience. All the transfers between airports, hotels, train stations and attractions were seamlessly connected, and all the hotels the tour company chose for us were great, with superb locations easy to go around. Our guide Rocky in Shanghai was a nice guy. He kept us entertained throughout the days with his amazing knowledge of China and his trendy points about modern Shanghai. As for Xian, I was not really an archaeological fan, but the Terracotta Army was surely amazing. My favorite part goes to the cycling on the ancient City Wall, great experience! Xian was a blast cuz the city got the best dumplings that we have ever had. Towards Beijing, our guide Leah and the driver showed us around to some major tourist attractions, like the Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Mutianyu Great Wall, Summer Palace, etc. Besides, we enjoyed an unforgettable street food experience at Guijie. Leah was so good at selecting restaurants that can meet any dietary needs. The Peking Roast duck recommended by her was excellent. We ended the day with an amazing Kungfu show since Leah wanted to keep my kids engaged in the tour. All in all, she was a brilliant guide with flawless English and depth of knowledge on Chinese history and culture. A lot of thanks to all the guides and drivers as well as Elysian Tour!
