Our China trip had been in the pipeline for several years and when we finally could make it, we wanted to make sure everything was just right. We found Elysian Tour on Google and were very impressed by their fast responses. We had several agencies in the list but we chose Elysian Tour to organize our trip since they were always approachable. Fiona was able to answer questions via Skype and was very quick answering any questions we had. And the trip she arranged was exactly what we wanted. We booked the 15-Day the Essence of China and went to Beijing, Xi'an, Chengdu, Guilin, Yangtze River Cruise and Shanghai. The whole trip was enjoyable with informative and friendly local guide in each city, explaining the history and sharing fun stories. The pandas were superb adorable and my wife was so glad that we did Chengdu to see them in person. We were both very delighted to see the grandeur of the Yangtze River and the breathtaking Three Gorges. We learned Taichi on the Cruise and were able to join the class and play every morning. My wife is still doing it and sharing it with some neighbors! The hotels were all good with nice locations, easy to get around during our free time. All our guides were thoughtful enough to remind us to bring our hotel cards just in case and were able to give us nice tips of hanging out at night. Food was on our own, which was good too since we were able to explore the local food and snacks on very reasonable prices!
