I had the most wonderful day in Beijing with a fun and very good English speaking tour guide, Garry. It took 2.5 hours to drive to the Mutianyu Great Wall and that was the best drive ever with Gary's introduction of the history of the Great Wall, Beijing, the Emperors and China's long history, so informative! I really have to say this young man is very knowledgeable and knows well what he is doing. Walking with him through the Fobbiden City to visit the main halls and palaces other groups ignore really made my exploration at the imperial palace an in-depth one.
