I was not quite confident at first booking with a local company, but the reviews and communication between us helped to ease my concerns. From the beginning, Johnson was very quick to answer any queries and make any adaptations to our itinerary. We took a private tour as this is our preferred way to travel and everything worked out perfectly enough just like described in the itinerary.

Our six guides (Shanghai, Guilin, Chengdu, Chongqing, Yichang and Beijing) were all very knowledgeable and friendly meanwhile flexible who would change plans if necessary when we wanted to see something else. The itinerary was pretty full on and I can't say that we had any time to relax, but that was our own choice, as always did in other destinations trying to see as much as possible in my limited holiday time. The highlights of the trip were definitely the visit to the Great Wall, but there were surely more memorable moments to mention.
